Location
The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa is situated on the edge of a cliff overlooking one of Malta’s most beautiful sandy beaches, Golden Bay. The location commands one of the best sites on the Island of Malta with panoramic views over the bay below and beyond. At the same time it is only a short drive Southwards to St. Paul's Bay and the town of Bugibba and a ten minute drive Northwards to the ferryboat that connects to Gozo, Malta’s sister Island.
Accommodation
The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa has 287 rooms consisting of 118 one bedroom suites, 73 two bedroom suites and a further 92 standard twin rooms. In addition to this the property also incorporate 2 fantastic three bedroom suites and a further 2 presidential suites. Half of the rooms enjoy a fantastic view of Golden Bay, while the rest overlook the beautiful countryside of this Northern side of the Island. The rooms have all been designed to be extremely spacious and are tastefully furnished to a very high standard. Standard rooms measure 35 square meters, one bedroom suites measure 70 square meters and 2 bedroom suites measure 110 square meters. Facilities in all bedrooms include all the comforts associated with a five star resort and are suitable for both leisure and business travelers alike.
Facilities
The hotel boast a very large range of facilities including a spacious lobby with views straight out to Golden Bay, a 450 cover restaurant, 2 smaller casual dining restaurants, cocktail bar, lobby bar, various lounge areas and various reading lounges on each level of the hotel. In addition to these facilities, a number of retail outlets will be located off the lobby for guest’s convenience.
The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa will also be fully equipped to handle conference and incentive groups and a large 1200 square meter conference centre comprising a 600 square meter ballroom together with 12 syndicate rooms will be available in the Hotel. This will be backed up with a business center and the usual support services associated with conferences, incentives and events.
On the leisure side the hotel will have extensive facilities for all guests to enjoy. A fully blown 1,000 square meter spa and leisure center will be the most sought after on the Island with its breathtaking views and huge open glass windows directly overlooking the bay. Various pools, including two large outdoor swimming pools, children’s pool and indoor pool are all located on site. Of course the sandy beach below the hotel is easily accessible directly from the grounds of the hotel. Additionally the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa has its own private sandy beach fully serviced by the hotel’s personnel. The Resort will also have extensive landscaped gardens and terraces suitable for guests wanting to relax on the hotel grounds. Tennis courts are also available for the more active and horse riding is available for the more adventurous. A full range of water sports as well as a dicing center will also be located within the private beach facilities of the Hotel.
