Concept
The Noble Maltese 16th Century was inherited from, and mostly influenced by, the Sicilian kingdom. We shall live for one night the atmosphere of those elegant weddings, from the guards in front of the main entrance, to the setting of the hall with tabletop candlebars - with the courtesans to complement all, and the string quartet playing a repertoire of classical music.
Description
All guests will receive a wedding invitation in their hotel rooms, which they will carry to the wedding to be announced by the Master of the Ceremonies before entering the wedding hall.
The hall is decorated with freestanding chandeliers and the long tables are adorned by table candlebars surrounded by flower poses. As small stage is set in the centre of the hall to serve as an altar for the short wedding ceremony.
Outside the main entrance, guests are greeted by the drummers and trumpeters, assisted by torch bearers. At the door, the two hosts, the baron and the baroness, welcome the guests as they enter the venue. Before they enter the wedding hall, the Master of ceremonies announces the guests one by one as they settle for the wedding ceremony.
A typical wedding ceremony takes place, followed by a typical Maltese banquet, with the bride and the groom sitting in the centre of the table. All guests are invited to sit around the long banqueting table.
The evening rolls on in the elegant company of the string quartet. There are spots during the evening of a classical folk group, and an elegant minuet dance performed at the end of the evening.
The highlight of the night, is when the cake cutting ceremony takes place.
