The Silent City of Mdina

The Mdina Full Day Guided Tour will allow you to admire some of the most renowned historical places in the world. The tour commences with a visit to the Mosta Church, sought all over for its magnificent dome, the 3rd largest in the world. The Mosta Dome is one of the many silent victims of the atrocities of the Second World War, but at the same time, both the dome itself and the congregation within, benefactor of a stupendous miracle.

The tour continues with a visit to the Botanic Gardens of San Anton where you will view many species of plants that you are unlikely to see anywhere else on the island.

You will then proceed to the former World War II aerodrome, which is now the venue of the island's largest craft market, the Ta' Qali Crafts Village. Here you will have the opportunity to admire artisans with different skills, such as silversmiths fashioning filigree and lacemakers creating shawls and tableware - and also have time for some souvenir shopping.

After lunch you will proceed to St Paul's Grotto in Rabat, subject of many legends concerning the stay of St Paul in Malta in AD60. The day is concluded by a tour of the Silent City of Mdina, highlighted by visits to the Cathedral, the Cathedral Museum and the ramparts, that command a magnificent view of the island.
